Biography
Sarvin Hazin is an Iranian-Austrian violinist, kamancheh player and composer based in Vienna. She holds a graduate degree in violin Performance from MDW Vienna, is a member of the Omen Quartet
(formerly INMUAS String Quartet) specializing in contemporary classical
music inspired by folk traditions from various cultures, and is a member of the Global music/Jazz ensemble Kurdophone, where she works as both a
musician and composer. In addition to her work as a soloist and guest musician in various ensembles and orchestras, including the Vienna Symphoniker and the Tonkünstler Orchestra, she is also involved in music theater and music education projects for children and youth. Throughout her creative pursuits, Sarvin aims to blend her extensive experience in
classical music with her deep knowledge of traditional and folk music from Iran to create a unique and personal style. Recent involvement in projects
with this unique blend includes her work with Terrea Trio where she performs microtonal contemporary compositions of Amir Ahmadi for violin, cello, and Claviton (31-Tone microtonal Keyboard).
